Katharine To The Rescue

56 to 81. Still looks like a great weekend.

Ever have one of those days when nothing went right? I had one of them yesterday. Didn’t sleep, but that’s OK because I was going to a new doctor that I know will help me out. 2:00pm appointment. I got there at 1:30 to fill out all the forms. Checked in and the lady told me my appointment was yesterday. Figures. That’s how the whole day went.

I had a talk to a me ex concerning Sunday. She told me how ugly Alex talked to her. Probably did. He has a lot of pent up anger. I know how tough it was for me to listen how good of a mom she was to my son and she didn’t deserve anything Alex told her.

She said there were several of her family members that wanted to ‘kick Alex’s ass.’

I then asked her if she thought that was a good idea.

You want your family to beat up your son?!?!?!?!?!?!

That’s was the end of our conversation.

I hate that my choice of his mother has caused him so much trouble. I told him that and I’d try to be a better dad so he won’t be taking grief from both parents.

He understood what I was trying to say. He is such a better man than I am.

Continuing with the day was going, I tried a new Asian restaurant for lunch. Got back to work. It was expensive and awful.

Sure. Why not? Fit just right into my day.

I wound up taking Alex out to eat. Chicken wings and beer.

The day started to turn around.

And where do I turn to change the rest of my day????

Yep, old classic movies. Specifically ones starring Katharine Hepburn. If I had a chance to go out with any actress in the whole history of actresses, it would be Katharine. She always cheers me up. Yesterday is was with Cary Grant and a leopard named, “Baby”.

Yep, Katharine came to the rescue again.

Hoping your day is better and glad that Katherine could get yesterday on a better track.

I’m sitting here in disbelief. I cannot believe that woman would say what she did. I can remember your blogs from the old 360 days and all that you/Alex went through and what you have gone through to attempt to remove this person from your life. NO mother would say that about her son – never. I don’t care what the situation is – Mothers protect their children. I would find a big old ignore button and hit it. Just cease any and all communication of any kind. Alex doesn’t need it – you don’t need it and who cares what she wants/needs. Amazing – totally amaging.

Stay strong my friend. You have done a wonderful job with Alex and he shows you that frequently. Eat some chicken wings, drink some Shiner and have a better day. The weekend is coming and you have to be ready for Disco Night at the Wildflower Festival. 🙂 Hugs!!
